Mainstreaming climate change in school curriculum

This strategy utilizes the capacity of educational institutions to deliver awareness to students of various levels about climate change impacts and ways to adapt and mitigate it. Climate change is incorporated in the curriculum as part of the science course and the depth of learning depends on student’s level. However, it is also essential that climate change is not restricted in the field of science but incorporated in other subjects such as arts, physical education, religion/ethics, social studies/current events, and others. This integration helps students realize that climate change affects almost all aspect of life. Consequently, this mainstreaming will imbibe on the students that there are many approaches to solving climate change.
